HP Pavilion Slimline s5120f
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

At startup--- "no signal" is displayed on monitor and monitor eventually goes blank.  CPU fan and System fan stop running after about 15 seconds.   The monitor appears to be  working OK. The Power Supply unit fan runs and the unit light is on and does not blink.  I have gone through the trouble-shooting guide and have not come up with a solution.  Has anyone else experienced this  problem?

I tried the steps listed in the article you suggested . Unfortunately I was not able to solve my problem.   Beginning about a momth ago when I would shut down computer it would restart after several tries.  This time there was a brief power outage and have not been able start up the computer.  I installed Windows 7 about a  year ago but never had a problem restarting until about a month ago.
