Can't Enter BIOS

I want to get into my BIOS, but it seems I cant.

I've tried tapping and holding ESC, F1, and F10 while booting, but it doesn't respond to the key presses and boots directly into Windows. The booting screen is only shown for a second or two, so it may be that my computer is booting too quickly for my keyboard to get anything done. I'm using a Corsair K55, if that information is relevant.

I don't have UEFI, so that isn't an option.

Please ensure the keyboard is plugged into one of the USB2 (black) ports and press F10 to enter the BIOS. The USB3 (blue) ports won't work untill Windows loads.

It is in a USB 2 port, doesnt work

Looks like you have 3 possible options;

1) Try a standard (non-gaming) USB keyboard in one of the USB 2.0 ports.

2) Download and install HP Performance Advisor. This will let you view and edit the BIOS from within Windows. You can also save the BIOS settings in a text file in case you want to proceed with step 3, i.e. it will give you a snapshot of your current BIOS settings before you reset them.

3) Try a CMOS reset;

   a) Power off the computer and remove the mains lead from the back.

   b) Press the front power button several times to discharge any residual power from the PSU.

   c) Open the side panel and press and hold the CMOS reset button for 5 seconds.

   d) Re-connect the power lead and try re-entering the BIOS.
