Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Samsung 980pro SSD installed in my HP Envy 700-215xt desktop on a PCIe adapter.  I've cloned the system disc to it, but cannot boot from it.  The BIOS does not seem to recognize it even though the OS does.  Is there an update to the BIOS or some other trick to get the machine to boot from it?

Hello

Sorry to tell you your PC's motherboard and BIOS does not support M.2 natively. The BIOS cannot see the M.2 drive installed in a PCIe slot using an M.2 adapter as a bootable device.

The M.2 drive is only usable as a data drive.
