Make sure there is nothing plugged into the HDMI connector in the back.
1 - try a hard reset
Unplug your G9 from the wall. The power cord has a transformer (wall wart) so unplug from the back of the computer. Press the power button 2-3 times to discharge residual electricity then plug back in.
Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release. Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer.
2 - see if the computer is looking for input from some other device
Under the display are 4 buttons for the On Screen Display. Turn on your system and try selecting some of the buttons. I was unable to find any documentation for what the button do so try them all. If the OSD pops up make sure that HDMI-IN is NOT enabled. I am just guessing that your G9 is looking at HDMI-IN for video input.
3 - Try another monitor or TV
The back has a DisplayPort connector for attaching a second monitor. If you have a second monitor and a DP cable then try it. If your system came with a DP to HDMI adapter then connect any TV or external HDMI monitor to the adapter and plug the adapter into the DisplayPort. Note that the HDMI is input only so it a it wont work.
You can try booting in Windows Safe mode but I suspect there is a hardware problem.
