HI i have HP pavilion a6460a with an AMD phenom processor 9500
been in storage for awhile no i get get the monitor to display
any help would be appreciated

Bios may have defaulted to the internal VGA. If using a video board, remove it and connect the monitor to the VGA connector shown below. If no display try another monitor. If still no display reseat memory sticks and remove all attached devices including hard drive. Only keyboard & monitor & memory left in. Hear any beep codes?
Older motherboards tend to have their capacitors leak, causing failures. Especially due to heat if stored in attic or garage. Look at your capacitors below and compare to typical damaged ones.
