Hello,I have a HP Pavilion Desktop computer 510-P026 Hard drive is completely dead,Trying to add a new 1TB hard drive,How can I install a new operating system on this computer,Tried just about everything,Still keeps coming up no boot even trying to install a new operating system,tried from USB,and the DVD still no boot process.How can I fix this thing???Please anyone help? Thank you in advance.Dave

Hi, Dave:
In order to boot from a USB flash drive, have it plugged into the PC's USB port.
Turn on or restart the PC.
Immediately tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the USB Windows installation flash drive and press the Enter key.
The PC should boot from the USB flash drive.

You only need an 8 GB USB flash drive.
Then you need another working Windows PC.
Use the Micrsoft media creation tool to automatically create a bootable W10 USB installation flash drive.

You can use the Microsoft media creation tool on a W7 PC, but you have to follow the instructions on this link for it to work:

Those changes you are making are just to run the Media creation tool which will create a W10 installation USB flash drive.
You can try running the file without that information but if you get an error running the file, then you will have to download the update and make the changes as set forth in the instructions.
