HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-1160xt CTO
Microsoft Windows 11
Hello,
A few weeks ago my PC would freeze at startup (HP loading screen) and I tried to troubleshoot it in command prompt but then it would not start at all. I do not have a recovery drive (disk OR USB) and I even reset Windows and deleted all my files but to no avail.
A few days ago, I tried to troubleshoot again but found that I cannot even get into the recovery environment.
Here are the error codes I received:
0xc0000098 , 0xc0000225 , and 0xc0000001
My computer is an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC. It is just over a year old and so my warranty recently expired. Recently I scanned all the components again and my computer said that my USB port check was failed (failure ID: 0LU7U1-ATDBHX-QFFV5A-8D5403).

I'm not very good with computers and I assume I somehow messed up the BCD while in control panel. If you need any more information, please let me know.

Thanks in advance

HI @vino0124

HP Diagnostics shows a USB problem. This is not good and indicates a MB failure.

You may not be able to use any USB recovery options to reinstall the operating system.

Using the Windows recovery Environment only works if you have operating system problems.

I suggest you have a local PC tech take a look.

Hi @vino0124

Please describe your PC's current condition.

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap "ESC". Can you get to the HP UEFI Startup Menu?

I see HP Diagnostics has detected a USB hardware issue. This usually indicates a MB problem.

I think you will have Windows startup problems when you have a hardware issue.

Hi @Bill_To ,

Yes, I can get to the HP UEFI menu.

As for my computers condition, whenever I turn it on, it freezes, so I have to keep restarting until it says that my PC couldn’t start properly.

How can I fix this?

Thanks
