Hi! A week ago or so I was on my computer. I had a problem with pop ups and tried to fix it by installing virus detectors. However when trying to update one of these programs and also accesing other programs in the computer it freezed. I had no choice then to turn it off via the power button. It turned on as usual but then I made the same mistake and it freezed again. After turning it of that time it won’t start properly. It just stops at the HP logo screen. Please help!

I am also experience an issue which is that when I try to enter safe mode my password does not work.

Thank you for joining the HP Community

Perform a Power Reset your Laptop using the below link.

Then, Run an Extensive System Test from F2

1. Turn on the computer.

2. Immediately press the f2 key repeatedly, about once every second, until the UEFI menu opens.

When the UEFI menu opens, select the diagnostic test you want to run, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Keep me posted, how it goes!
