Envy h81520t
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have an Envy h81520t. I was away for about 2 months. When I tried to start the computer nothing happened. However the green Led power supply light on the back had power. Followed the virtual asst to the bitter end but no help. When I disconnected the peripheral wire the power light briefly came on and the screen showed the DivX connection. Then nothing. Seems like a loose connection or the power button is broken. Any help would certainly be appreciated.

@HMH55 -- that green lamp may be indicating only that the power-supply is detecting power from the power-cord.

Do you have the technical skills to disassemble your computer, to remove the power-supply, and to connect a replacement?

If not, it is time to take the computer to either a "computerphile" friend, or to a computer technician.
