May  try the CPU reseat later...  but for now, am going to focus on data recovery.

 

I'm going to use the   Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA      model    EC-DFLT  

 

3.5 inch drives need an adaptor with an external power source.  Only 2.5 inch drives can be powered from a USB plugin
