System freezes within 0-3 minute after startup. Then BSOD with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION listed. System then restarts itself successfully. And repeat.
If I disable the wifi adapter before system freeze or if I restart with wifi router turned off but PC wifi adapter enabled, then PC operates normally while offline. As soon as I connect PC to wifi, freeze then BSOD w/DPC violation.
1. Tried restoring from earliest available restore point.
2. Tried uninstalling devices from device manager then allowing reinstall during startup as recommended on Microsoft forums.
3. Used thumb drive to reinstalled all available HW drivers from HP website .
4. Currently running HP "System Extensive Test" from boot menu. Have 5 hours to kill, so here I am.
Additional note, ran Norton Internet Security system scan while offline and no problems found.
Edit: HP System Extensive Test found no problems
