Hello: This week, I began having repeated DXGKRNL blue screen errors, and my machine keep rebooting.
I have run the sfc / scannow command. I have fun the Cleanup-image DISM.exe /Online /Restorehealth command.
I have updated all my Intel and NVIDIA drivers. But the issue is not going away.
Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @kennethwongsf,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The DXGKRNL (DirectX Graphics Kernel) error is commonly associated with graphics card issues, including drivers or hardware. Since you've already updated your drivers and run system scans, here are a few more steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Roll Back or Reinstall Graphics Drivers
Sometimes the latest drivers can cause issues. You can try rolling back to a previous version or completely reinstalling your graphics drivers.
Uninstall Graphics Drivers:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click on your graphics card and select Uninstall device.
- Check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device" and click Uninstall.
Download and Install Previous Drivers:
- Visit the Intel and NVIDIA websites to download previous versions of your graphics drivers.
- Install the downloaded drivers.
Step 2: Update Windows
Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated.
- Check for Updates:
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security and click Check for updates.
Step 3: Adjust Graphics Settings
Adjusting some graphics settings might help alleviate the issue.
- Disable Hardware Acceleration:
- Open Settings > System > Display.
- Scroll down and click on Graphics settings.
- Turn off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.
Step 4: Check for Overheating
Overheating can cause DXGKRNL errors. Ensure your system is properly cooled.
- Clean Dust:
- Ensure that your PC is free from dust and debris that can cause overheating.
- Check Cooling System:
- Verify that all fans and cooling systems are working properly.
Step 5: Check for Malware
Malware can cause system instability.
- Run a Full System Scan:
- Use Windows Defender or a trusted third-party antivirus program to run a full system scan.
Step 6: Perform a Clean Boot
A clean boot can help identify if a third-party application is causing the issue.
- Clean Boot:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, and then click Disable all.Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.Disable all startup items.Restart your computer and see if the issue persists.
Step 7: Check for Hardware Issues
If none of the software fixes work, it might be a hardware issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you Rachael! I found out that temporarily disabling my NVIDIA GeForce GPU stop the DXGKRNL errors and reboots, so for now I am using the PC without the GPU, but with only Intel integrated graphics. I will try to test it again with an older GPU driver.
