When I decide to take a break and walk away for a bit my computer will freeze and I have to unplug it to get it to work again. I sent it in to HP and they replaced the mother board but obviously they didn't test to see if it still did the freezing up thing still. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I'm about to return this machine and go elsewhere to purchase a desktop

Hi @phop19561
I would contact HP Support again if you are still in warranty.
Replacing the MB should (it is possible to get a bad replacement MB) eliminate this component from the troubleshooting list.
I would think you have a different component problem if HP restored the PC to the factory image while replacing the MB if the new MB is okay.
Have you used HP Diagnostics at startup to check all hardware?
A known good Windows factory image and a new MB points to remaining hardware installed on the MB (data drives, RAM, WIFI controller, or graphics card).
Any faulty peripheral (keyboard, mouse, monitor, or other USB devices) can also cause problems. Or you could have a bad port.
