Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all and thanks for reading me.

My desktop is a HP G4 with 8G° RAM. This computer was working like a charm.

But since a few days, when i press the power button i've  a visual and audible alarm :

5 red long beeps and 7 white short beeps

I tried to so swap off/on the memory and the graphic card, but had still the same issue !

I test memory and graphic card on an other computer (same brand, same model), they both works normally.

If you have any solution I'm interested.

Thanks for helping me

Does not sound good.

If your system is HP 400 G4 MT then page 91 lists the "beep codes"

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05381692.pdf

The beep codes go only up to 5.5 (5 long 5 short) and the problem is always the system board.

You did not list your product ID so I had to guess the 400 G4 MT so possibly the 7 short is identified in a different manual but HP uses the 5 long for the motherboard.

You might consider unplugging from power and do a CMOS reset using jumpers (if any) or carefully remove the battery for 10 seocnds.

Also, look for anything suspicious like a huge amount of dust, stains on the motherboard, bad capacitors, etc.
