Desktop PC will not boot. Attempted hard reset but does not work. When power button pressed, LED flashes white three times (with longer pause between 2 & 3) with single beep - fans turn on. Brief hard disk activity heard for a few seconds which then stops. USB keyboard shows no response at all - LEDS used to flash briefly. Nothing appears on monitor. Previously, machine was turning itself off automatically after 10's of minutes of normal use - since removed dust from grills in case it was overheating.
I have a replacement machine and only need to recover some files from the hard drive before disposal so options just to do this would also be OK.
Any help gratefully received.
