HP Slim Desktop - S01-pF1016
Microsoft Windows 11

Today I installed a BIOS update on  my desktop (HP Slim Desktop - S01-pF1016 ).  The computer will not re-boot, i.e., screen remains black and there are no sounds coming from the computer The light on the tower slowly flashes on and off.  To fix the problem, I've: 1. Turned the computer on and off; 2. unplugged the desktop from the power source; and 3. simultaneously held down the Windows key and B key and turned on the computer while keeping the two keys held down.  None of these fixes worked.  Are there suggestions on what I should try next?  Thank you for your assistance.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to make a USB BIOS recovery drive with the latest BIOS update for your PC on another PC and try to recover the BIOS.

This video shows how to update the BIOS outside of Windows.

Here is how to use the BIOS recovery flash drive after it has been successfully created:

After you create the USB BIOS recovery drive, follow the instructions that show up on the screen after the USB recovery drive has been successfully created.

1. Power off the device to be recovered.

2. Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.

3. Power on the device.

4. The device may reboot up to 3 times with indicator lights on the keyboard flashing, or the screen appearing blank for short time.

Hopefully, that will fix the problem for you.
