I have a hp desktop 290G2 business pc the pc shuts down during bios update because of power outage and refused to display. It doesn't recognize my keyboard and mouse and the power led keeps flashing. Pls any help?

I have the same pc that refuses to recognize usb due to lightning strike. Everything works except for the USB ports. Thanks

I  assume you tried the power on window key + B described below

You could try a replacement motherboard.  Look for an HP part number on the board

then look the part number up here https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/

Alternately look here and here and see if you can match the motherboard to the images.

Tried all USB ports?

What do you mean by "Everything works"?  Is the system stuck in bios waiting for a key on the keyboard to be pressed or can you boot into the OS?

On the second desktop computer, it boots to windows but none of the usb ports are working. It happened after a lightning strike. But the second desktop shuts down during bios update because of power outage. It doesn't recognize my mouse and keyboard bcus no the mouse and keyboard doesn't bring any light. The computer powers but no display. The power led keeps blinking. I've tested d ram on a second computer and it works fine.

Can i removed the bios chip from the other desktop of same model and replace it?
