HP Recommended

With the help of a friend we have checked the powerful graphic card, it is o. k. so the motherboard remains as the culprit. We also checked the DVD drive (disconnecting it) according to my acquintance ,althouh it happens very seldom, a fault with the DVD drive can be one of the reasons why a computer will not boot. So now, I´m in the market for a replacement MB.  I´ll let you know when the MB is replaced how things went, it may take some time though, it´s not so easy to get hold of a MB for my desktop (out of production and the only places where they have unused are the USA and Taiwan, which means hassle with the customs here).
