Hi @Mikewalkk,

Thank you for your response,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY x360 laptop not booting up and getting stuck in the repair stage. This can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide.

Check for External Devices: Sometimes, external devices like USB drives or external hard drives can interfere with the boot process. Make sure there are no external devices connected to your laptop, including printers, scanners, or any other peripherals.

Restart Your Laptop: If it's stuck in a repair loop, force a restart by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds until the laptop powers off. Then, press the power button again to turn it on.

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • While your laptop is booting, press the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
  • Select "Safe Mode" and see if your laptop boots up. If it does, this suggests that a recently installed program or driver may be causing the issue.

System Restore:

  • If you can access Safe Mode, you can try performing a System Restore to revert your computer to a previous state when it was working.
  • Type "System Restore" in the Windows search bar, then follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system to a previous point.

Check for Disk Errors:

  • If the above steps don't work, it's possible that there are disk errors causing the problem.
  • In the Advanced Boot Options menu, select "Repair Your Computer" > "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced Options" > "Command Prompt."
  • In the Command Prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and press Enter. This will check and attempt to repair any disk errors.

Use Windows Recovery Options:

  • In the Advanced Boot Options menu, select "Repair Your Computer" > "Troubleshoot" > "Reset this PC." Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your PC while keeping your files.

Reinstall Windows:

  • If none of the above steps work, you may need to reinstall Windows. You can do this by using a Windows installation USB drive or recovery media provided by HP.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
