I own a HP Pavillion Model 510-P136. I am running Windows 10 Home, Version 10.0.19041 Build 19401. it is X64 based.
The BIOS is AMI F.16, 09/23/2016. SMBIOS Version 2.8. Embedded Controller Version 255.255 & BIOS mode UEFI
On 7/19/2020 it did a Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004. The power went out at our house and when I restarted the computer I received the following message: ERROR: CPU Fan Has Failed. PC will automatically power down in a few seconds. It shut down and I opened up the case to check it out.
Put a desk fan running high in front of the opened case and then turned on the computer. I also used a can of compressed air to clean the heat sink plus fan before that. Hit enter when given the option to restart the computer and the fan kicked on. Kept an eye on it and it worked at the normal speed. I then restarted the computer and got the same message. Hit enter and fan started right up. It's been running for about 45 minutes now with no issues yet. Not sure if the Windows update is the issue or if the fan needs to be replaced. If it's the fan what is the p/n?
Thank You

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting system fan error when you start the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
