EliteDesk 705 G1 Mini Desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I ran the Softpaq Download Manager earlier today and it indicated that my EliteDesk 705 G1 Mini Desktop had a BIOS update available. I started the BIOS upgrade and (of course) Windows 10 blue screened with a driver error and restarted in the midst of the upgrade. Now the computer won't start up, it just emits a series of eight beeps and the monitor stays blank. I tried the Windows Key + B recovery method and that didn't work.

Is there any way to restore the BIOS on this model or is it permanently bricked?

Thanks.

OK, so I was able to recover the BIOS by following the steps under the section Step 2: Download a replacement BIOS file on the page HP Notebook PCs - Recovering the BIOS located here:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833

Interestingly this step was missing from the page HP Desktop PCs - Recovering the BIOS (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04126730) even though the model of the computer is EliteDesk 705 G1 Mini Desktop. I guess that sort of makes sense since these mini desktop computers are essentially notebooks/laptops without a screen or keyboard, however it was unclear that that was the correct course of action when searching the support database.
