First of all I am new to the platform, your patience is appreciated!
A friend hands me his AIO and tells me if I can get it to work I can keep it.
After the HP splash screen it begins the boot sequence. I get one beep and then a message
There is an error in the SMART detection
1720-SMART Hard Drive detects imminent failure
Failing Drive: SATA0 (Dark Blue)
Failing Attribute #B8
To minimize the risk of data loss, backup the contents of your hard drive and run DPS self-test in F10 setup
Near the top it appears the bios version is 2.15.1236. On the bottom of the screen it says V02.21
the disk in question is a seagate SSHD part number 716263-001
It will boot to a flash drive if there is something I can put on it to give it a firmware fix.
As I mentioned, I am new to the platform, and any help is appreciated!
UPDATE - I had it boot a few times over and I was able to get it to boot once to the home screen. I havent rebooted it since, and I don't want to in the event there is a downloadable fix. Im not sure if/when i will get it to boot to the desktop again.
