restart in advanced options
then use the restore system option, go back to a previous point

Hello, actually the problem was with the HDMI cable. During safe mode it seems no signal is routed through the HDMI cable. So I replaced it with the original VGA cable & display started(in safe mode). Thereafter from Run-MSCONFIG route I switched back to Normal mode.
