Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Error Code: 0xc0000017 on HP Computers!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The error code 0xc0000017 usually indicates that there are issues with the Windows startup configuration. To resolve this, you can use the UEFI Firmware Settings to attempt a recovery or reset your configuration.
Steps to Access UEFI Firmware Settings:
- Turn off your computer.
- Press the power button, and then repeatedly press the esc key until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup Utility.
Using BIOS Setup Utility to Perform Recovery:
In the BIOS Setup Utility:
- Navigate to the Exit menu.
- Select Load Setup Defaults to restore the factory settings.
- Select Save Changes and Exit to apply the default settings.
- Restart your computer.
If BIOS Recovery is Needed:
- Turn off the computer.
- Turn it on, and then immediately press and hold the Windows key
and the B key at the same time until you hear 8 beeps. This should open the BIOS Update Utility to perform a BIOS recovery.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
