Product: How Compaq dc7900 convertible minitower
Operating System: Linux

Everytime I turn my computer on, it shows me this screen (it always requires me to press F1 to boot and this always takes so long). Is there any way to fix it? Also, after I press F1, the monitor just goes black after showing me a purple gradient screen (I use Ubuntu).

My computer does not let me access it, please help.

If your question is how to fix boot problems with a Linux machine, then you've come to the wrong place -- as we do not provide detailed Linux support.

 

Your best bet for Linux support is to contact the support forum for the Linux distro you are using -- in this case, the Ubuntu Forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/


Folks on Linux support forums have experience using a variety of machines with Linux and know a lot about driver and installation issues. You will be able to get sound and detailed help there.
