There are two very different settings that affect the boot speed:
1) Fast Boot -- entirely a UEFI firmware option, having nothing to do with Windows
2) Fast Startup -- entirely a Windows option, having nothing to do with UEFI
So, WHICH of these did you really tweak?
Also, your PC did not come with Win10 preinstalled, according to the HP product page, so which did it come with -- Win7 or Win8?
And, was it slow booting in the original OS?
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP

Hello,
Should of been Fast startup and not fast boot.
Windows 8, bought windows 10 Pro from Microsoft and installed that.
All has worked fine for years no problem . Booted up in 35 sec start to finish.
Also was never slow in windows 8 Pro at all .
Also no problem in windows 10 Pro till one of the up dates changed something.
Anyone know how to resolve this

What do you tweak with UEFI or how . Just selected it never twead anything.
what should the boot be set set to Legacy or UEFI
bios changes the hard drive and puts the backup drive in boot and if you chang to default it puts the drives in correct order and if you reboot go to bios removes the boot drive and puts backup drive there why or does it matter.
no never slow booting Windows 8 Pro booted in 35 sec. and when you went to Windows 10 pro and had that for long time always booted in 35 sec. Only in last month did it switch to 3 to 4 min.
