Hi @Swapna123

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Boot Device Not Found" error (3F0) typically indicates that your computer is unable to detect the hard drive. Here are some steps to troubleshoot this issue:

1. Check Physical Connections

  • Power off the laptop and unplug it.
  • Open the back panel (if you're comfortable) and check the connections to the hard drive:
    • Ensure that the SATA and power cables are securely connected.
    • Reseat the hard drive if possible.

2. Run Hardware Diagnostics

  • Turn on your laptop and repeatedly press F2 to access the HP Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Run the hard drive test to see if it detects the hard drive and check for any errors.

3. Access BIOS Settings

  • Restart the laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Check if the hard drive is recognized in the BIOS. If it's not listed, the drive may be failing or improperly connected.

4. Check Boot Order

  • While in the BIOS, ensure that the hard drive is set as the first boot device in the boot order.

5. Reset BIOS to Default

  • In the BIOS, you can also try resetting to factory settings. Look for an option like "Restore Defaults" or "Load Setup Defaults."

6. Try a Different Drive

  • If you have access to another compatible hard drive, connect it to see if the laptop can boot from it. This can help determine if the original hard drive is failing

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
