When I press the power button I can hear it running but the monitor doesn’t turn on. Pilot light is on near power connector, no other lights visible that I can see. This seemed to happen all of a sudden. Always left unit on.

Greetings @DDobbsy
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Your PC's specs can be reviewed at this Site.
All in One (AIO) PCs are similar to Laptops. Most components are integrated in the MB. The display panel is connected to the Nvidia mobile GPU chip using a PCI-Express 3.0 x8 interface.
You should have a local PC Tech check the PC. It is very difficult to diagnose a AIO PC hardware problem in a Forum.
Possible points of failure:
External power supply
Display panel
Nvidia graphics chip
The MB or possibly the CPU.
You pretty much have to replace components to find the bad part. The benefit/cost ratio may affect your troubleshooting options.
