HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1026
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Desktop powered off overnight and now I can't turn it back on at all.  When pressing the power button, the LED light flashes for a second and then goes off.  The computer won't start at all.  I'm out of warranty and I don't want to throw out a perfectly fine computer if the problem can be easily fixed.

Any ideas?

Hi @User38583

Welcome to the HP Forum.

You have a hardware problem if you see and hear no activity other than a momentarily flashing LED when you depress the power button. It is very difficult to troubleshoot a hardware problem in a Forum.

It may be best to have a local PC Tech take a look.

Any component connected to the MB or external device connected to the PC could cause this issue.

You have to methodically reduce the PC to a minimum config. Eventually you will be trying to start the PC using only the CPU, one stick of RAM, one at a time, in each memory slot, and a monitor.

It looks like you have Intel CPU integrated graphics so you don't have a discrete graphics card to check.

You may also have to swap in, known good, replacement components.

A PC Tech would have the required components.

Regards
