Hi there,
My HP ENVY 32 AiO will randomly lockup for no apparent reason, with the mouse & keyboard becoming unresponsive and the fans speed up with most heat coming from the right-hand side of the vents across the top.
This does not seem related to any common or recurring activity, and I have no problems with any software that is installed. The only way to recover the machine seems to be a hard reset by holding the power button down which then results in a "CMOS Reset (502)" error and occasionally a "CPU Fan (90B)"error upon rebooting.
After restarting, all hardware diagnostics are normal – including fans & temperatures – and I am already running the latest BIOS update (F.23 Rev.A).
On top of this, the machine failed to boot at all on one occasion and emitted 3 long & 4 short beeps – a code that relates to the PSU I believe. Could a faulty PSU also be linked to the lockup or am I looking at two separate problems here?
Many thanks,
Mik
