How To Clear the CMOS-RAM / Reset the BIOS-Defaults
The is no documentation about the Motherboad IPM17-TP available 😞 (very poor HP)
Where is the Clear CMOS Jumper ?
Is there an other mechanism to Set the BIOS defaults without any USB-HMI-Devices (because all USB-Ports don't work) ?
Thanks a lot for your help

Hi @r27t45
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
To recover or reset the BIOS on your HP ENVY Phoenix Desktop, here are some steps you can follow:
1. Restore BIOS Defaults via BIOS Setup:
- Restart your desktop and press the F10 key repeatedly during startup to enter the BIOS setup utility.
- Once in the BIOS, press the F9 key to load the default settings.
- Confirm the changes and press F10 to save and exit. Your computer will restart with the default BIOS settings.
2. Use the BIOS Recovery Feature:
- Turn off your desktop and disconnect any external devices.
- Press and hold the Windows key and the B key, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release the power button but keep holding the Windows and B keys until the BIOS recovery screen appears.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to recover the BIOS.
3. Clear CMOS (Manual Reset):
- Turn off the desktop and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the computer case and locate the CMOS battery (a small, round coin-shaped battery on the motherboard).
- Remove the battery for about 5-10 minutes, then reinsert it. This will reset the BIOS settings.
- Close the case, reconnect the power, and turn on the desktop.

Hello Hawks_Eye thank you very much for your posting.
The hints 1. and 2. don't apply because of the locked USB-Ports (I cannot use keyboard and mouse)
3. is also an well known way to reset the BIOS settings, but I see not CMOS battery on the Motherboard IPM17-TP
...
Meanwhile I found one picture of the Motherboard (https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c05369438)
The CMOS battery is hided under the graphics card - now i can try hint 3.
One more thanks a lot and have a nice day.
Kind regards
