Hi @aaronsthebest74,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the HP Envy 34-b120qe.

The beeping pattern you're describing on your HP Envy 34-b120qe indicates a hardware issue, most likely related to memory (RAM) or graphics. HP computers use beep codes to indicate specific hardware failures during the boot process. Here's a breakdown of the codes you provided:

  1. 4 long beeps and 8 short beeps: Typically related to a memory failure.
  2. 4 cycles of 6 long beeps and 8 short beeps: This could be pointing to a graphics card or display issue.

Steps to troubleshoot:

Check RAM:

  • Power off the PC and disconnect it from the power source.
  • Open the case and reseat the RAM sticks by gently removing them and placing them back in their slots.
  • If you have more than one RAM stick, try booting with only one stick at a time to identify if one of them is faulty.

Check the Graphics Card:

  • Ensure the graphics card (if removable) is properly seated in its slot.
  • If possible, test the PC using the integrated graphics (if supported) by removing the dedicated graphics card or switching display output.

Clear the CMOS:

  • Power off and unplug the PC.
  • Reset the BIOS/CMOS by removing the battery on the motherboard for about 10-15 seconds and placing it back.

Monitor Connection:

  • Ensure that the monitor cables are securely connected to the PC and the display.

If the issue persists after checking the RAM and graphics card, you may want to contact HP phone support for more options.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

I tested the RAM and both sticks work perfectly fine, and when I removed the GPU, it still gave the same error, even when I plug in an external monitor, still nothing shows up and still gives the same error code. I should also mention that while I hear 4 long beeps then 8 short beeps the 4 cycles of 6 long, 8 short, the LED on the power button, it only doing 5 cycles of 3 long flashes 4 short flashes, so I'm wondering if I'm interpreting the error wrong or not.

Hi @aaronsthebest74 ,

We apologize for the inconvenience, but it seems that the issue persists even after attempting the troubleshooting steps mentioned above, as this looks like a hardware issue.

This might require one-on-one interaction to fix the issue via remote assistance.
