HP Recommended

The computer won't turn on; none of the LEDs are lit, and the fans aren't spinning. I've replaced the power supply and the motherboard, but nothing has changed. I've also replaced the power button, which has electronics inside it.

Can anyone help me find out what's going on?

If your HP ENVY 34 All-in-One does not power on at all, with no LEDs, no fan activity, and you've already replaced the power supply, motherboard, and power button assembly, you've completed several significant troubleshooting steps already. Thank you for sharing those details, as they help narrow the focus.

 

Since the system shows no signs of receiving power, let's concentrate on the remaining hardware paths that can prevent startup:

 

Verify the AC Power Source

  • Disconnect the computer from power.
  • Connect another device to the same wall outlet and confirm the outlet is supplying power.
  • If using a surge protector or power strip, connect the PC directly to a wall outlet.

 

Check the Power Adapter Specifications

  • Confirm the replacement power supply matches the original HP specifications exactly, including:
    • Output voltage
    • Amperage
    • Wattage
    • Connector type
  • A compatible-looking adapter with incorrect output can prevent any startup activity.

 

Perform a Residual Power Reset

  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Disconnect all external devices, including USB devices, printers, monitors, and storage devices.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect only the power adapter and attempt to start the PC.

 

Inspect the Internal Power Connections Since the motherboard has been replaced, carefully verify:

  • Main motherboard power connector is fully seated.
  • Power button cable is connected to the correct motherboard header.
  • Display and auxiliary power cables are properly connected.
  • No pins are bent in any connector.

 

Test with Minimum Hardware Configuration Disconnect:

  • Additional storage drives
  • Non-essential accessories
  • Optional expansion components
  • Motherboard
  • Processor
  • One memory module
  • Display connections as originally configured
  • Power button assembly

 

Check Memory Installation Improperly seated memory can occasionally prevent startup.

  • Power disconnected.
  • Remove and reinstall the memory modules.
  • If multiple modules are installed, test one module at a time in the primary slot.

 

Inspect for Physical Indicators With power connected:

  • Look for any motherboard standby LED.
  • Check for a brief flash when power is connected.
  • Listen closely for any faint clicking sounds when pressing the power button.

 

Consider Components That Remain Unchanged Since the power supply, motherboard, and power button have already been replaced, the remaining common items include:

  • Power adapter cable/DC input cable
  • Memory modules
  • Processor seating
  • Internal power harnesses
  • Short circuits caused by damaged connectors or cables

Thank you very much for the information.

I had already tried all of these recommendations without success.
Finally, the problem was solved by replacing the motherboard again and also replacing the GPU.
