My BRAND NEW HP Envy 34 inch all in one computer will not power on.  I have checked to verify outlet has power, cord is firmly plugged in.  Any ideas?

Hi @JB50124

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with your HP Envy 34-inch all-in-one computer. If it was working fine initially but now won't turn on, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check the power source: Ensure that the power cable is securely connected to both the computer and a functional power outlet. You might want to try plugging the computer into a different outlet or using a different power cable to rule out any issues with the power source.
  • Power button: Make sure you're pressing the power button correctly and giving it enough time to respond. Sometimes, a faulty power button or a loose connection between the button and the internal components can prevent the computer from turning on. Try pressing the power button firmly and holding it for a few seconds to see if anything happens.
  • External peripherals: Disconnect all external devices, such as USB devices, printers, or external monitors, from the computer. Sometimes, a faulty peripheral can prevent the computer from starting up. Once disconnected, try turning on the computer again.
  • Reset power: Perform a power reset by unplugging the power cable from the computer and any connected peripherals. Then, press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds. Afterward, reconnect the power cable and try turning on the computer.
  • Display issues: It's possible that the computer is turning on, but the display is not functioning properly. Look for any signs of power, such as lights or fans running, to determine if the computer is actually turning on. If it seems like the computer is on but the screen is blank, try connecting an external monitor to the computer to see if you get a display. If the external monitor works, there might be an issue with the built-in display.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I completed all the steps you mentioned with no results.   The HP Envy 34 All in One does not turn on.  Please provide instructions on what to do next.

This is getting pretty frustrating.  I keep getting sent around in circles with no one to actually talk to about this issue.  You sent me a link that just takes me back to the original page that either gives me the option to follow virtual instructions or create a case number.  I have already created two case numbers.  I want some help to get my brand new computer to work or I am going to return it for a refund.
