Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Envy laptop running Windows 11.

A few days after an automatic update (sorry I do not recall what type of update) I sit down in front of my laptop & see a black screen with the HP logo and a message "Preparing Automatic Repair".  This continues forever...

I have searched for what to do about this dilemma and nothing I've seen has resolved the situation. 

I have been able to run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tests - "Symptom tests, System Tests - both the short & the extensive, & the Component Tests.  My laptop passes all the tests.

I do not know how to resolve this.

Please help.
