OMEN 25L GT12
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have an HP OMEN 25L GT12 desktop with motherboard SSID 8876 and BIOS F.23.

Secure Boot remains disabled in Windows even after loading HP factory default keys multiple times. The BIOS reports “Platform Key: Not Enrolled,” and PowerShell reports that the PK variable is undefined.

Is there an HP-approved fix or a BIOS update compatible with my exact system?

Thank you.

Please advise how to fix the missing Platform Key on my OMEN 25L GT12 BIOS F.23.

Hello,

I am following up on my question. My OMEN 25L GT12 has motherboard SSID 8876 and BIOS F.23.

Secure Boot is still disabled. Confirm-SecureBootUEFI returns False, and the Platform Key is not enrolled. The Windows UEFI CA 2023 certificate is present.

Could HP please advise on a safe fix for my exact model?

Thank you.

Greetings @OmenGamer26

You can update to BIOS version F.24.

BIOS version F.24 will fix the TPM 2.0 version problem. You're not seeing this problem because your PC has both a TPM version problem and a Secure Boot problem.

However, BIOS version F.24 does not fix the EFI Secure Boot problem.

You have two options:

1. It is recommended to periodically check this HP Site for a BIOS update that supersedes BIOS version F.24. Or routinely check HPSA for a future, post F.24, BIOS update. Also do a wild card check, using GT13-1000a, for future BIOS updates.

2. Update to BIOS version F.24 now which is available Here. Then follow steps at this *Forum Link *to attempt to fix the F.24 Secure Boot problem.

Note: the above (* Forum Link*) fix has helped many folks in the Forum. However, it is not 100% guaranteed to work in all cases.

You'll have to use option one if option two does not fix the Secure Boot problem.

Regards
