Hey, just purchased HP Omen 30L, Ryzen 5 5600g in the last week and love it. The problem I have  is that on a couple of occasions it’s gone to sleep and I’m not able to wake it up. When I tried turning it off by holding the power button down it did nothing so has to pull the power and restart it. Would returning it to Best Buy make a difference if I exchanged it? I’ve seen a few people online with the issue with no fix so I’m at a loss. I came from a Mac to this and so far disappointed despite the fact when it works it’s great.

thanks

Hi,

I have had the same intermittent issues over the years using W10.

You have a new PC, so it is usually a driver problem or you had a older OS image installed on the PC and have received a W10 update which causes the problem. You may need to update drivers.

Have you checked your specific PC's HP software and driver update site for newer drivers?

Also run the following system file checker options at an admin command prompt to verify you have no system file corruption:

Run the following commands:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Wait for completion then run the second command.

sfc /scannow

Regards
