I have an HP dc7900, but every time I turn it on it freezes after checking the RAM on the POST(Power On Self Test) screen. I can only press one of the three "F" keys shown on the bottom right of the screen before the RAM check is finished. After the check is finished, the keyboard does not work and nothing happens even though I press it. For example, if I press F10 before the RAM check is finished, it says 'setup' at the bottom right and freezes; neither Windows opens nor I can access the bios. According to my research, HP's own website says that there is such a problem in older bios versions and that they have solved the problem in the latest bios version. When I download the latest bios from another computer and try to install it on the flash drive, I get the message "This system does not include the required WMI support for this version of HPQFlash. Please use an HPQFlash product earlier than version 4.0." How can I fix the Bios?

Don't know why everyone seems to think that BIOS updates are Miracle Cures that fix anything that ails a PC.
Next time you restart, press the F2 key repeatedly and if this works, it will open a hardware diagnostics page -- which you should then run to see what it can find.
