Hi @VladEugen
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today. You've already tried several troubleshooting steps, which is great, but there are a few additional things we can try. Here are some steps you can follow to attempt a fix:
1. Check the Power Supply and Connections
- Power Supply: Double-check that your power supply is properly connected and functioning. Ensure that the power cable is securely plugged in both at the wall and at the back of the PC.
- Monitor and Cable: Make sure the monitor is properly connected to the desktop, and the cable (HDMI/DisplayPort) is securely plugged in.
2. Hard Reset the Desktop
- Unplug the desktop from the power outlet.
- Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
- After 30 seconds, plug the desktop back in and try to power it on again.
3. Use the BIOS Recovery Method Again (with USB)
- Ensure your USB recovery drive is correctly prepared with the latest BIOS version for your system. You can download the BIOS file from the HP support website for your exact desktop model.
- With the desktop powered off, insert the USB recovery drive into a USB port.
- Press and hold the Windows + B keys together.
- While holding the keys, press and hold the power button for about 5-10 seconds.
- The PC should try to recover the BIOS from the USB drive.
4. Check the RAM
- Try One Stick at a Time: If you have more than one stick of RAM, try removing all but one stick and then attempt to power the PC on again. Try each stick in each slot to rule out faulty RAM or bad slots.
5. Check for POST (Power-On Self Test)
- If you don’t hear any beeps and the screen remains blank, that could suggest the motherboard or graphics card might be failing.
- If you do hear beeps, look up the beep codes for your desktop model to identify the issue.
6. Remove and Re-seat Internal Components
- Power off and unplug the desktop.
- Open the case and reseat the graphics card (if present), RAM, and any other add-on cards like Wi-Fi cards.
- Ensure that all cables and connections are securely attached (especially power cables to the motherboard and CPU).
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
