Well, I am totally frustrated with this Windows 11 Canary update or upgrade of Windows 11 Insider Preview 26058.1000 (ge_release). I did check the hardware requirements, run checks, and every hardware diagnostic including memories as well as removed all attachments such external hard drives, blue tooth headsets, etc. The only I left was keyboard, mouse and monitor.
I don't remember how many times I ran this flipping update, or upgrades and every time fails. I followed a lot of the recommended approaches or suggestions without any improvements.
Please advice.

Welcome back.
Are you getting any error message as to why the update is failing?
I would check the Windows Insider Forum for this problem.

I got this from the windows update "This update couldn't be installed, but we'll try again later." I try settings>system>troubleshoot>Other troubleshooters>Windows update>Run:
Package ID; WindowsUpdateDiagnostic
Path: Unknown
Error Code: 0x803C010A
Source: Engine
Context: Elevated
My PC rolled back when attempting to install the latest Windows Update (error code 0xc1900101)
I hope this may be more clear.
Thank you.

Thanks for the W11 update error code.
You really should check the W11 Insider Forum since you are doing a 24H2 W11 Insider preview update. The problem could be replicated with a solution in the W11 Insider Forum.
The 0xc1900101 error can be caused by:
Inadequate free disk space
Driver problem
Doing the update with unnecessary peripherals connected to the PC
I would guess you have enough free disk space.
Make sure all drivers are updated.
Only use a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
I would run a check disk.
Open an Admin command prompt as follows:
Open Search then enter "command prompt". Right-click on the search result.
Select "Run as Administrator".
Enter the following commands, one at a time. Wait for each command to complete before running the next command.
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Enter the next command after the DISM routine is complete.
sfc /scannow

Thank you for the suggestion. I did an additional task and it was to upgrade my graphic card from the manufacturer and it worked like a charm. However, the Settings, troubleshoot, other troubleshooting, Windows update still failing with the same error.
I am grateful for the time you are taking in helping me .
THANK YOU!

Hi Bernard,
My pleasure.
Did the check disk find and fix file system errors?
Check the Win Insider forum. There may be a problem with the 24H2 update using Windows Update.
You should be able to download the 24H2 .iso file from Microsoft since you are a Windows Insider. Run the 24H2 update inside of Windows with the .iso file.
Open the .iso file while running Windows. Run the Setup.exe file to start the in-place update.
