HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop - Product Number 7BB49AV     One day and one hour past warranty desktop shut down in the middle of play and when tried to reboot - it would start for a couple of seconds and then shut back down.   Have done some problem solving - not the power supply, the hard drive or the fans.  Any ideas on what to look into next?

Hi,

I suggest you have a power supply problem, or a possible short to ground on the MB, or a component connected to the MB is shorting to ground, or a peripheral device connected to the PC or a front/back I/O port is in trouble. One last possible cause is the power on button.

Please describe specific troubleshooting steps you have taken? Don't want to suggest unnecessary troubleshooting steps.

Regards
