Yes, you have to clean install W11 in it.

I tried all the tricks to do an in-place upgrade and none worked.

I would make a system image of your current W10 installation prior to updating to W11, so you can easily reinstall W10 in the future.  I used the free Macrium Reflect software to do that, under the Backup at Home section.

Along with the system image, make sure you create the bootable DVD or USB rescue drive you boot from to access the system image stored on your portable hard drive.

First make this registry change...

Then download the Windows 11 ISO file (3rd option), not the W11 installation assistant.

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

Use Rufus and make a bootable USB installer with the ISO file you downloaded.

There is a new option to create an installer that is supposed to bypass the W11 hardware checks.

Here is the link to the Rufus download.  You want the version 3.17 portable.

Boot from the Rufus installer, and you will be able to install W11.

My unsupported W11 PC's got all of the W11 updates.

I have upgraded 8 of them to W11, and they seem to run a little better on W11 than they did on W10.

However, I don't know how long they will continue to get all of the updates, or what will happen when the new build of W11 comes out next year in October.

You will need two W7 drivers.  The Intel management interface driver, and the AMT driver.

W11 should install everything else.

Hi:

That model does not have a UEFI BIOS and it does not support secure boot.

What about

HP COMPAQ 8200 ELITE MICROTOWER

?

The 8200 Elite has a UEFI BIOS, but does not support secure boot.

If you want to install W11 on your 8200 Elite, it can be done, but you have to clean install W11 on it, and you would have had to have previously upgraded it to W10, so that W11 will activate.

I installed W11 Pro on two 8200 Elite CMT's and it works great.

If you are interested in clean installing W11 on your 8200 Elite PC (which can be done), let me know and I will give you the steps to do so.

You say

Must clean install

So w10pro apps and data will gone

I saw so videos on YouTube... upgrade old systems from w10 to w11... are you sure for this 8200... have to clean install..?

Tell steps, or URL ....?

Thanks for your support...

Instead of clean install of Windows 11 Pro in my hp 8200, can do dual boot - fresh install in a partition - so keep windows 10 Pro and install Windows 11 Pro in the new created partition,  and choose during boot the preferred OS to use...?

If this is OK, can skip make the additional partition,  in other words create Windows 11 Pro partition just prior installation, when choose the residential partition,... create it that time, or i haven'tthis ability?

I plan install from DVD-R DL DISK with Windows 11...

Hi:

Yes, you should be able to do that.

You can also watch this video for another way to create the bootable DVD to bypass the hardware checks...
