HP Pavilion Has Corrupt Bios

Greetings,

Welcome back to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Back in the old days it was possible to add the BIOS .bin file to a bootable floppy disk to update the BIOS. This worked if the PC would power on self test (POST).

Your problem is it appears your PC cannot POST because the BIOS is corrupted. Is this true?

Eight beeps means the BIOS is corrupted. (Link) to BIOS error codes for PCs made before 2015. Scroll down to find the error codes for you product.

Your PC is toast.

I think you may have to replace the motherboard (MB).

HP will probably not have this MB available for sale.

You would have to check online sites for an exact HP, refurbished, replacement MB.

Regards
