When I tried to turn on my computer after I have upgraded the ram the CPU will not start, The power light goes on and it then flashes 3 times slow then 2 times fast. I have changed out the Ram back to the original and it still happened.

I understand the blinking pattern (3 slow blinks followed by 2 fast blinks) on your HP Pavilion Wave Desktop indicates a POST (Power-On Self-Test) error code. This specific pattern typically points to a memory or motherboard issue. Here’s what you can do to diagnose and potentially resolve the problem:
1. Check RAM Installation
- Ensure the RAM modules are seated correctly in their slots. Push firmly until you hear or feel a click.
- Verify that the RAM modules are compatible with your motherboard specifications (speed, type, size).
2. Test Each RAM Stick
- If you have multiple RAM sticks, try installing only one stick at a time in the first slot and power on the system.
- Rotate the RAM sticks through each slot to rule out a faulty stick or slot.
3. Inspect the RAM Slots
- Look closely at the RAM slots for bent or damaged pins.
- Use compressed air to blow out any dust or debris that might interfere with the connection.
4. Reset the BIOS/CMOS
- Disconnect the power cable.
- Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard (a silver coin-shaped battery) and remove it for about 10–15 minutes.
- Reinsert the CMOS battery, reconnect the power, and try to turn on the computer.
5. Disconnect All External Peripherals
- Disconnect all external devices, including USB drives, monitors, and keyboards.
- Try turning on the computer with only the power cable connected.
6. Check Power Supply Unit (PSU)
- Ensure the PSU is functioning correctly and providing adequate power to the system. If the PSU is faulty, it may fail to initialize the system properly.
