I am having trouble with my Desktop PC. I turned it off last night as I was going to bed and I came home from work today to turn it on and it wont turn on. The green light in the back was out so I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the green light came back. It wasnt blinking it was steady. So I pressed the power button to turn it on and the green light went out. There is no error display on the monitor or anything. I took off the Paneling and tried everything over again to see maybe if I could see inside what happens when I press the power button. So I did everything and When the green light was on and I pressed the power button the Fan moved a tiny bit but stopped. I dont understand what's going on with it can someone please help me. Also I've had this PC for 6 years now with no problems I dont understand what's wrong please please help me.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

You have provided a good description of the problem.

I would guess the power supply may be failing.

It would not hurt to replace the CR2032 motherboard battery also.

The replacement power supply is not available at HP Part surfer (Link).

Try Amazon, or Newegg, or eBay.

It maybe time to upgrade your PC.

Regards
