Hi guys,
I bought a used HP G4 400 Mini PC listed as working. I received the PC and tested it and got a RAM error. (3.2). I reseated the RAM Stick to the second RAM slot and then the PC worked. Since I want to use it as an emulation machine it would be best if Dual Channel would work. The woman I bought the PC from stated that the PC has always worked and she never opened the PC. So I doubt she put the RAM in the faulty slot. So I really cannot tell why the one slot should be faulty.
What I've tried so far:
Tried every RAM constellation possible (both sticks work) but only the second slot seems to work.
Reseated the CPU and made sure there are no bent pins.
resetted the CMOS.
Cleaned RAM Slots with Pressure Air, Isopropanol and even Contact Spray.
Is there anything else I can try or do I surely have a faulty RAM Slot.
Thank you for ur help guys!

Greetings @drezzy
Welcome to the HP Forum.
You have done necessary troubleshooting which seems to indicate the first memory slot (channel 1) is out of commission.
It could be memory slot pin failure or damaged MB traces from the memory slot to the CPU. This would be a MB problem.
A bad CPU memory controller usually produces a system which is unable to POST regardless of the memory configuration. At power on the fans spin up and you see no video output and USB is cooked. The PC is DOA.
You could try a different, compatible, CPU to see if the system will POST when both memory slots are populated.
Trying a different CPU would be the last component to check.
