After restoring a W11 image, I got my HP Z2 G4 SFF locked at boot with the message:
HP Sure Start Recovery
HP Sure Start detected an unauthorized change to the Secure Boot Keys.
The keys ware restored automatically and there is no further actions required.
The repeated occurrence of this problem indicates a security problem that should not be ignored.
My computer was only 2.5 years old.
I tried without success to solve this issue and finally ask the reseller to solve the problem.
Answer from HP : Machine non longer under warranty (yes 6 months too old) and no other solution than replacing the motherboard for 400 € !!! Throwing away a functional motherboard is not an environmentally acceptable behavior.
Conclusion : the HP Sure system is buggy and kills your machine. Do we need such kind of "HP Sure security feature " ?
HP computers are no longer trusted machines respectful of the environment and shall be avoided.
