Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (457S2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Victus gaming laptop. When I turned it on today, I got a blue screen of death with stop code ACPI_BIOS_ERROR. Victus then keeps on restarting after showing Victus logo, BSOD, restarting again then showing Victus logo with "Preparing Automatic Repair" message and then restarting again with BSOD on loop. Please help

Greetings @Jaivin

Welcome to the HP Forum.

This error indicates a BIOS ACPI problem. Did your PC do any recent W11 updates?

I would try updating to the latest BIOS version for your MB available Here.

Download this BIOS update on a second PC. Connect a 4GB or so empty USB flash drive to the second PC.

Run the .exe file. Select Create a USB BIOS Recovery drive option. Select the empty USB flash drive as the target location .

Create the recovery drive.

You are ready to attempt a BIOS update/recovery on your PC using the HP BIOS Recovery flash drive if the above process goes well.

Watch this HP video on what to do next.

Let the Forum know how it goes.

I just waited for 1 hour during bootloop, then turned off and turned on my laptop again and now it's working. Is there any chances of such crashes in future or this was a one time problem?

I can't say if this was a one time problem.

Keep an eye on things.

It sounds like you may need a BIOS update or W11 is really messed up.

You could try a W11 reinstall or a HP Cloud Recovery. But you have a Laptop; you need to back up data if you do a W11 reinstall.

You would have to disassemble the PC to remove the system disk to back up data.

A Hiren's Rescue USB drive would also help to copy data from the system drive to backup media (no disassembly required) before doing a clean W11 install.
