Computer locked up and when rebooted the system would no longer boot up. The computer will power on briefly for few seconds and then turn off. I investigated the issue and preformed a hard power reset by holding down the power button. Upon powering up again I received 3 flashing red lights (Long Beeps) followed by 2 white flashes (short beeps). Looking that up I found it was a memory initialization error.
I removed the Ram and tested with 1 stick - No Change
Tested the other stick - No Change
Tested the alternate Ram slots - No Change
Tested the system with no Ram installed - No change
I suspect bad motherboard. I have an extended warranty with an HP care pack, but I can't seem to find a way to submit a ticket online to get support. My HP dashboard doesn't have anywhere to submit a new case.
Any help appreciated.
