Goodmorning everyone,

I have an issue with an HP Z4 G4 after I tried to update the BIOS.

I had to expand the RAM modules but the system seemed to not read the new modules. So I proceded with a BIOS update (sp145714). After the update, the machine rebooted and since then, everytime I try to power on, it goes straight with memory error code (3 long red blink and 2 white short). No video output. Tried to reset BIOS even removing the motherboard battery, but nothing seems to move. Starting the PC without processor, the error change with the no processor installed code, that seems legit, so it's not totally stuck on the RAM error.

There's something that could I do? Or it means that the BIOS update went wrong so the motherboard became a piece of garbage?

Thanks.

Hi

I am experiencing the same issue on my workstation after updating BIOS last week.

Is there any way of overcoming this or is the mobo bricked??

Thanks

I understand that it has to do with the 2.xx BIOS updates not supporting non-ECC RAM in the Xeon W machines. I need help finding BIOS version 1.76 to rollback to ASAP.
